National Stroke Awareness Month

The Mayor & Town Council along with the Secaucus Board of Health want to remind all residents that May is Stroke Awareness Month.
Stroke symptoms include sudden numbers or weakness of face, arm, or leg, especially on one side of the body. There is also sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding. You may have sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes and have sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination. You may also have sudden severe headache with no known cause. Call 9-1-1 immediately if you have any of these symptoms!

Memorial Day Parade

Mayor and Town Council invites everyone to our 3rd Annual Memorial Day Parade on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 12:00 PM. Parade starts at Secaucus High School and ends at the American Legion, 2nd & Centre Ave. There will be food, fun, and entertainment. Rain date is Sunday, May 22, 2012.

WTC 9/11 Steel Donated by Port Authority NY & NJ

At 11:00 AM, Wednesday April 11, a piece of steel from the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center Twin Towers was presented during a ceremony at Veteran’s Plaza in the center of town. The dedication was in honor of our Gulf War veterans that served in response to the attack on that tragic day. Included was Marine Lance Corporal Luke Smentkowski, who was wounded during the war in Iraq. Other local veterans that served during the Gulf War are Master Sergeant George Sikaffy, Sergeant Major Marine Clark Rhiel and Navy Petty Officer Third Class, Michael Bronowich.
