About Us

The Environmental Department has been enacted for the purpose of promoting a greener place to live for generations to come. This department is instrumental in protecting and preserving the environment by eliminating Styrofoam and banning Fracking waste in addition to recycling and upcycling lumber. It also serves as advisor to the mayor and council on local environmental issues.

The department assists with reports for environmental grants. It holds an annual green festival and serves as liaison to the state environmental protection agencies and enforces environmental laws enacted by the state or municipality.
