Secaucus Construction Department

About Us

The Construction Department process all applications related to the construction of new buildings, the renovation/alteration of existing buildings and the issuance of minor permits as per the Uniform Construction Code of New Jersey. The Department's Sub-code Officials will perform all necessary inspections such as building, electrical, plumbing, and fire as indicated on each individual permit. At the completion of each construction project the appropriate Certificates will be issued.

This department's Zoning Officer will review and process all zoning applications. Through this department all the annual licenses to hotels, car washes, and Laundromats in town are issued, as well as the License to any Commercial General Contractor who performs work in town.
