Third Ward Councilwoman Susan Pirro has lived in Secaucus for 21 years. She has been an active member of the community for most of those years. She was elected to the Secaucus Board of Education and served 6 years on that Board. She has served as a volunteer member of the Secaucus Community Education Advisory Council, the Clarendon School PTA, Secaucus Middle School PTA (past President), Secaucus High School PTSA (past President), Secaucus Booster Club, Secaucus Marching Band Parents Association, and the Secaucus Public Library. She was awarded the NJ State Legislature Outstanding Community Service Award, the Secaucus HS Community Honor Roll Award, and the American Cancer Society Bronze Star Award.
Currently she is a volunteer for the Secaucus Citizens Animal Care Committee, Secaucus Municipal Youth Alliance and is the Town Council’s liaison to the Secaucus Board of Health and Secaucus Office of Emergency Management.
Ms. Pirro has lived in Harmon Cove for 21 years with her 3 daughters Christie, Lauren, & Cheryl.
