Councilman James Clancy
A lifelong resident of Secaucus, James J. Clancy, Sr. has been a Social Studies teacher at Secaucus Middle/High School for the past 34 years and previously served four terms on the Town Council from 1986-1993. He has a BA Degree in Economics and is a member of the National Education Association, New Jersey Education Association, and Secaucus Education Association.
An active member of the community for many years, Clancy is a former member of the Secaucus Little League and Babe Ruth League and former member of the now defunct Secaucus Jaycees. He is currently a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, Mary Immaculate Council of Secaucus, member of Monsignor B. O’Connor Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, and a member of the American Legion Post 118.
Clancy has served in the United States Army Reserve and served as a counselor for North Hudson Community Action Program. He and his wife Carol are the proud parents of two adult sons, and grandparents of four.
